Deloitte Global Expansion Strategy
Cross-Cultural Consulting and Market Entry

This project focused on developing a global expansion strategy for Deloitte Consulting, with emphasis on market entry into Saudi Arabia. The work examined how cultural context, organizational structure, and communication practices shape the success of international consulting engagements.

I served as Team Facilitator, guiding a multidisciplinary virtual team through the research, synthesis, and presentation process. My role centered on coordinating contributors, structuring collaboration, and ensuring that strategic insights were translated into a coherent and culturally informed proposal. The project required balancing analytical rigor with sensitivity to regional business norms and governance frameworks.

Research efforts focused on Saudi Arabian business culture, professional etiquette, regulatory considerations, and workplace expectations. Comparative analysis highlighted key differences between U.S. and Saudi consulting environments, particularly in decision-making hierarchy, communication style, time orientation, and approaches to diversity and inclusion. These findings informed recommendations designed to support effective client engagement while respecting local customs and expectations.

As facilitator, I established team workflows, clarified roles, and managed communication across a fully virtual environment. Emphasis was placed on trust-building, accountability, and inclusive participation to ensure that all team members contribute meaningfully despite geographic and scheduling constraints. This structure enabled the team to maintain momentum and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

The final deliverable consisted of a professional strategy presentation outlining cultural considerations, engagement protocols, and operational recommendations for Deloitte’s expansion into the Saudi market. The project demonstrated how thoughtful facilitation, cultural fluency, and structured collaboration are essential to successful global consulting initiatives.

This work reinforced my approach to leadership in complex, cross-cultural environments and strengthened my ability to translate global research into actionable strategy.
